Safari planning

Plan Tanzania around the experience you want

When is the best time for a Tanzania safari?

June to October is generally dry and excellent for wildlife viewing. January to March is especially rewarding around Ndutu for the calving season. Your ideal month depends on the parks, budget, and wildlife experience you value most.

How many days should a first safari include?

Five to seven days gives most travellers time for Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro without rushing. Shorter private trips are possible, while longer itineraries can add Lake Manyara, cultural visits, or Zanzibar.

Are private and group safaris both available?

Yes. Private safaris offer a flexible vehicle and schedule. Scheduled group departures reduce the per-person price. The quotation should clearly show the vehicle, accommodation, park fees, meals, and services included.

02

Kilimanjaro

Climb with enough time to acclimatize

Which Kilimanjaro route is best for a first climb?

Machame and Lemosho are popular because they provide varied scenery and sensible acclimatization when planned over enough days. The right route also depends on your available time, privacy preference, and trekking experience.

When is the best time to climb?

January to early March and June to October usually provide the most reliable climbing conditions. Mountain weather can still change quickly, so correct clothing, pacing, hydration, and an experienced crew remain essential.

Do I need technical climbing experience?

The standard trekking routes do not require technical mountaineering, but the altitude and long summit night are demanding. Train consistently, choose a well-paced itinerary, and discuss health concerns with a qualified medical professional.

03

Booking clarity

Know what is included before you travel

What should a professional quotation show?

It should identify the route, dates, accommodation standard, transport, meals, guide services, park fees, exclusions, payment schedule, and cancellation terms. Ask questions whenever an item is unclear.

Can safari, Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar be combined?

Yes. These trips are commonly combined using a clear transfer plan between Moshi or Arusha, the national parks, and Zanzibar. A single day-by-day itinerary helps prevent gaps and duplicated costs.

How quickly does the local team respond?

Provide your travel month, group size, preferred comfort level, and must-see experiences. With those details, the team can prepare a useful first proposal instead of a generic package.
