Day 01: Entebbe - Kampala
>> Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, an English-speaking, professional driver-guide will receive and welcome you to Uganda: The Pearl of Africa. You will then be transferred to your accommodations in Kampala. If you arrive early in Uganda and are interested, you may consider a brief excursion to some touristic sites in/around Kampala City (cost not included).

Day 02: Kampala - Jinja - Sipi Falls
>> After eating breakfast we’ll drive to Jinja, making our way through the Mabira Forest en route. Jinja is where the Nile River begins its journey to the Mediterranean Sea. After your visit at the Nile, you’ll proceed to Sipi for your overnight stay. If interested, you may choose to go white water rafting or kayaking on the Nile (cost not included).

Day 03: Sipi Falls
>> You will have breakfast and then set out to explore the Sipi Falls. This 2.5-3-hour hike features breathtaking views of the three falls and makes for a great excursion while in the area. Later you’ll go on afternoon coffee tour to trace the story of coffee from seed to cup—you won’t want to miss this informative experience. Later, you’ll relax at your accommodations with the spectacular view of Sipi right in front of you.

Day 04: Sipi Falls - Pian-Upe Wildlife Reserve
>> Eat your breakfast and then drive to the pristine Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve. While there you may decide to either: visit the Ngapedet Cave on a nature walk to gain some historical insights or go on a game drive in search of ostriches, common elands, plain zebras, the greater kudu, savanna monitor lizards, and the only remaining roan antelope in all of Uganda. It is also only in Pian Upe that you may have the chance to see cheetahs while on a Ugandan safari. From Pian Upe you’ll head to Moroto, where you’ll have dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 05: Kidepo Valley National Park
>> Eat your breakfast and then drive to Kidepo Valley National Park, where you’ll arrive in time for rest and lunch before going out for a game drive. You will visit the Narus Valley in the south sector of Kidepo. This area of the park features savannah grasslands mixed with acacia woodland. It also features permanent water sources, which is why most of the animals are in this part of the park. Be on the look for large herds of buffaloes, zebras, antelope species, and lions. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 06: Kidepo Valley National Park
>> Enjoy your breakfast then embark on a sunrise game drive, where you will have the opportunity to encounter wildlife such as lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, zebras, or the elusive leopard (among others). Return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation. After a good rest, you’ll visit the Karamojong community to gain some insight into the locals’ way of life and beliefs. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 07: Kidepo - Murchison Falls National Park
>> Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then embark on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. The highlights of this area include the roaring Murchison rapids and the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest park, where you will have the chance to view lions, leopard, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. The large concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles here will also fascinate you. For birders, Murchison Falls boasts about 450 bird species, including the grey parrot, dwarf king fisher, and the goliath heron (among others). You’ll return to the lodge in time for lunch and relaxation. Later you’ll go on afternoon-to-evening game drive.

Day 08: Murchison Falls National Park
>> Eat your breakfast and then depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest national park. We’ll be on the lookout for lions, leopards (though hard to spot), and a variety of birds. You’ll return to your accommodations in time for lunch and some rest. After lunch, you will head out on a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where you will also be able to see hippos, crocodiles, and several species of water birds. If interested, you can continue with a hike to the top of the falls (cost not included). The hike may be a strenuous one but the thrill upon reaching the top is unforgettable. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 09: Murchison Falls - Kibale Forest National Park
>> Today you’ll eat breakfast and then depart for Kibale Forest National Park, which is popular for its primates (including chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkey, and the Uganda mangabey). The drive is quite long but incredibly scenic—you’ll pass through villages, lush green countryside, and hills dotted with tea plantations that characterize this part of Uganda. Upon arrival at the guest house, you will check-in and relax for the remainder of the day.

Day 10: Kibale Forest - Queen Elizabeth National Park
>> Have breakfast and then head to the rangers’ post, where you will participate in a briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. You will then begin your journey into the Kibale Forest. An experienced ranger-guide will lead you. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour in their presence. Later you will return to the lodge for lunch and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. If interested, you may consider a brief late afternoon/evening game drive. Otherwise, you can just check in and relax at the lodge.

Day 11: Queen Elizabeth National Park
>> On your early morning game drive you’ll be on the lookout for over 100 mammal species, including lions, hippos, buffaloes, leopard, spotted hyena, elephants, and the elusive giant forest hog. The primates include chimps, black and white colobus monkeys, blue, black faced and red colobus, red-tailed monkeys, and olive baboons. In the afternoon, you’ll go on a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel.

Day 12: Queen Elizabeth - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
>> After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector. This area is famous commonly for the rare tree-climbing lions. After the game drive in Ishasha, have lunch, and later proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the home to almost half of the remaining endangered Mountain Gorillas.

Day 13: Gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi
>> Eat breakfast and then make your way to the ranger's post. Here you’ll participate in a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. You’ll then enter Bwindi Forest for your adventure. This area features a dramatic, steeply forested landscape. It is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, which allows tourists to access the space. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. After the gorilla tracking activity, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi being a perfect place for relaxation, you will enjoy the rest of your afternoon at rest, alternatively you might want a boat canoe to explore the 29 Islands.

Day 14: Lake Bunyonyi - Entebbe
>> Eat a relaxed breakfast at the resort while admiring the spectacular views of the Bunyonyi islands right in front of you. You’ll then embark on your return journey to Entebbe Airport. You’ll eat lunch en route and make a stop at the equator for some memorable photos and shopping. Later you’ll be dropped off at the airport.
