Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya's most popular parks. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust," and it is the best place in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here, ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli to wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park.

Day 1: Amboseli Overnight Safari

>> Our adventure will begin with a pick-up from your place of stay at 7 AM. We’ll then depart, heading southwards towards Kenya’s Southern circuit, which lies at the Kenya-Tanzania border. The morning drive takes us through small Kamba-Maasai towns and dry acacia trees along the road. We anticipate arriving at AA Amboseli Lodge in time for lunch. Check in, relax, and depart at 3:00 pm for our first Amboseli bush game drive. While on our drive, we can view elephant families and other animals in their evening mood. Also, across the dusty plains is the best view of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the highest peak in Africa.

Dinner and overnight are at AA Amboseli Lodge.

Day 2: Amboseli

>> After breakfast, you will check out from the lodge. We’ll head to the park for our extensive morning game drive with a view of Mount Kilimanjaro. After a successful safari at Amboseli, we’ll depart for Nairobi with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
