Ruaha National Park has several historical and cultural sites. The Ruaha is celebrated as ‘the country of the valiant Chief Kwawa people’ who fought the German attack at the end of the 19th century. The Ruaha has a large river system that is not only one of the park’s attractions but also a watershed supporting the environment. The Great Ruaha River, the Mzombe River, the Mdonya River, the Mwagusi River, and the Jongomero River are some of the key rivers of Ruaha National Park.

Day 01: Iringa – Ruaha National Park

>> After breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver and start your safari to Ruaha National Park. The drive will take about 2 hours. You will check in at the Ruaha bandas and get ready for lunch at the restaurant, and check into our accommodation. Afterwards, you will depart for an afternoon game drive in the magnificent Ruaha National Park. You'll enjoy Ruaha’s rich wildlife, including antelopes, giraffes, buffalo, lions, leopards, elephants, and many more. Dinner will be served at Ruaha bandas.

Day 02: Ruaha National Park – Iringa City

>> You'll start with a sunrise game drive, then the driver will find a wonderful picnic with a scenic view for breakfast in the bush. You will have a game drive until lunchtime, when the driver will take you to the camp. The wildlife viewing will concentrate on the great Ruaha riverbank, Mwagusi Sand River, and Mdonya River, ending with a sunset wilderness game drive to an exit gate before you start driving back to Iringa.
