Day 01: Arusha to kigoma then gombe national park

>> You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma.

On arrival, you will be transferred to Ujiji village where you will visit Dr. Livingstone's Memorial Center to learn the history of the slave trade and the journeys and missionary activities of Dr. David Livingstone.
Then, you will be transferred to Kibirizi Port for your boat to Gombe National Park. On arrival, you will be transferred to the rest house for a hot lunch before starting your chimpanzee trek tour.

Day 02: Chimpanzee Trekking in the forests

>> After a hearty breakfast, your adventure begins at 8:30 a.m. with an unforgettable chimpanzee tracking experience deep in the lush forests of Gombe. This iconic park rose to global fame through the groundbreaking work of Dr. Jane Goodall, who began her pioneering chimpanzee research here in 1960.

As you trek through the vibrant greenery, you'll not only encounter wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat but also spot a variety of other fascinating primates, including playful vervet monkeys, striking colobus monkeys, and curious baboons. If time permits, the journey continues with a scenic hike to Jane’s Peak, offering breathtaking views over the forest canopy, followed by a visit to the stunning Kakombe Waterfalls, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Gombe.

Day 03: More exploration of gombe national park

>> After an early breakfast, embark on an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking adventure through the lush valleys and ancient forest trails of Gombe. Immerse yourself in the sounds and sights of the wild as you explore different valleys in search of our closest relatives the playful and intelligent chimpanzees. Along the way, enjoy a scenic hike to the beautiful Mkenge Waterfall, a hidden gem nestled deep within the forest.

By midday, return to camp for a delicious lunch and a chance to relax. In the late afternoon, pack up and transfer back to Kigoma town, where you’ll enjoy a hearty dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 04: Kigoma to Arusha city
