>> After breakfast, you will transfer to Mkomazi National Park. Positioned with Mount Kilimanjaro to the northwest, the Pare and Usambara Mountains to the south, and the expansive Tsavo National Park to the north, Mkomazi is common ground for migratory herds of elephant, oryx, and zebra during the wet season. Along with Tsavo, it makes up one of the largest and most crucial protected ecosystems on earth.

Mkomazi stands out for having a black rhinoceros sanctuary and a captive-breeding program for the African wild dog. Witnessing these two unique and endangered species presents a rare and exceptional adventure, complemented by the presence of other remarkable species such as giraffe, eland, hartebeest, zebra, buffalo, elephant, and the long-necked gerenuk. The park's avian diversity is impressive, with over 450 recorded bird species, including endemics like the cobalt-chested vulturine guineafowl and large ground birds such as ostrich, kori bustard, secretary bird, and ground hornbill.

>> Your next destination is Materuni, where upon arrival you will embark on a visit to the waterfalls (an approximately 40-minute walk away). Along the way, your guide will provide insights into the culture of the Chagga people, as well as explanations about the local fauna and flora. The views are truly breathtaking, and with some luck, you will see Kilimanjaro’s summit.

When you reach the waterfalls, you will see that they are more than 80 meters high. The pool at the waterfall's base provides an inviting spot for a refreshing swim, so it's advisable to bring your swimwear. After the tour, you'll partake in a traditional Chagga lunch, savor local banana beer, and engage in a unique coffee experience. Before saying goodbye, enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the views of the surrounding rainforest.

Following the tour, you'll be transferred to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests that are often trailed by an array of predators, including lions. While leopards make occasional appearances, cheetahs are rarely sighted.

Traveling in an open-roof safari vehicle, you'll have the opportunity to absorb the expansive landscape and observe the diverse wildlife. As the day progresses, you will exit the park in the late afternoon and proceed to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

>> Rise and shine! After a daybreak breakfast, you'll journey back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and then descend into the crater. This massive collapsed volcano shelters a population of over 25,000 mammals, including the renowned “Big Five”—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Additionally, the crater is home to spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs, and more than 500 bird species.

After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will depart from the caldera in the afternoon. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

>> Lake Manyara National Park is characterized by its eponymous lake, which attracts large colonies of water birds. Particularly impressive are the iconic, pink-colored flamingos. Other bird species, including cormorants, pelicans, and storks, can also be observed. Approximately 400 different bird species residing in the park.

The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, which are often spotted in the central and open areas. Your safari through the park will also offer sightings of elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and various other animal species. As the day progresses, you will exit the national park in the late afternoon and head back to Arusha or JRO (Kilimanjaro International Airport).
