This is a 5-day safari visiting Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and the famous Masai Mara. At Lake Naivasha, you will enjoy viewing the fabulous waterbirds and other bird species. The best place to view the birds is by the lakeside. Lake Nakuru has a magnificent view of the spectacle of pink flamingos along its edge. The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the best places in Africa for wildlife viewing. Game drives are a great way to experience the park and they take place all year round.

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

>> You'll be met by a Laxa Trails Safaris representative at the airport or your accommodation. After a short briefing, you will head to Lake Naivasha. You will drive through the famous Great Rift Valley which stretches from the Middle East in the north to Mozambique in the south. The Great Rift Valley was formed as a result of the movement of tectonic plates and volcanic activity. Lake Naivasha is situated on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. You'll arrive in time for lunch at the camp/lodge. After lunch, you'll relax and later proceed for a boat ride to explore the lake and a walking safari in the game sanctuary.

Alternatively, you may decide to visit Hell's Gate National Park where you'll explore the park on bikes.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park Through Hell's Gate

>> After breakfast, you will drive toward the scenic Lake Nakuru National Park which is one of the most popular parks in Kenya. The park is known for hosting some beautiful, endangered species like the rare Rothschild's giraffe, white and black rhinos, seen especially along the lakeshore.

The park is also home to large flocks of pelicans, variable flocks of flamingos, and other birdlife. Wild cats like lions, leopards, cheetahs, etc can also be seen here. You will go through Hell's Gate National Park where you can have a bike ride (optional and rock climbing)

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp/lodge.

Day 3: Lake National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve

>> You'll have an early morning drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. It's an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya. It holds on as one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and attendant predators. Masai Mara is without a doubt, one of the greatest destinations in African safaris. You'll arrive in time for lunch and then have an afternoon masai village visit from 4:00 pm.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp/lodge.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve

>> Today's itinerary is flexible and you can discuss it with your guide and plan for the day’s schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast or depart for a full-day game drive at around 7:00 am with a picnic lunch. The game drive will give you a chance to visit the Mara River where the migration happens. Also, you'll have better chances to view wildlife all day and return to the lodge or camp late in the afternoon.

Alternatively, you depart at 6:00 am for an early morning game drive. Later, you will return to your accommodation for breakfast and relax for the morning until midafternoon. Then, at 4:00 pm, you will depart on an afternoon game drive. You'll return to the lodge or camp at 6:30 pm for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5: Masai Mara to Nairobi

>> After breakfast, you will discuss with your guide your flight details to decide when to check out from your accommodation and depart for Nairobi where you will be transferred to your location or the airport for your homebound flight.
