Day 01: Arrival in Kigali

>> Meet and greet at Kigali International Airport where your Safari starts by our Safari Guide, who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. You will then be transferred to your hotel where you will be briefed about your adventure safari.

Day 02: Kigali city Tour and Visit the Genocide Memorial

>> Depart early in the morning after breakfast and drive out for a Kigali city tour which gives you an authentic outlook of the smartest city which hosts a thousand hills. After lunch you will visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum. Rwanda is widely remembered for the 1994 genocide where over a million people lost their lives. There is a moving museum in the city of Kigali to commemorate this sad period in the country’s history. Return to the hotel for the night.

Day 03: Transfer to Akagera National park and afternoon Boat Cruise

>> Early morning pick up from your hotel for a road trip to Akagera National Park; driving East of Rwanda +/- 3hours drive. In the afternoon, you will head out for a sunset boat cruise on Lake Ihema with a chance to see various aquatic wildlife species including hippos and crocodiles among others.

Day 04: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi National Park

>> After your early morning cup of coffee, set off for a wonderful morning game drive through the Savannah woodlands to spot wildlife species including the hyenas, lions, Impalas, buffaloes, elephants and zebras etc. Return to your lodge and in the afternoon, step out for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema for aquatic wildlife viewing.
Later Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park located in southwestern Uganda. En route; enjoy the beautiful views of the rolling hills and green vegetation.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Africa’s oldest rain-forest and world-renowned for its excellent gorilla-sighting. The rugged landscape features dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, deep valleys and steep ridges. This untouched forest has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its breathtaking natural beauty and unique ecological significance. Aside from the amazing gorilla interactions there are over 340 species of bird to spot and a variety of butterflies.

Day 05: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

>> After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure, after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers up and down the forest valleys in search for these gentle giants. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins.
Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants is fascinating. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat, rest, play and bond with their young ones. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge. If your trek was relatively short, you may opt for optional activities.

Day 06: End of Itinerary

>> In the morning you will be transferred from Bwindi Forest National park to Kigali International Airport to catch your out bound flight. If time allows, you may visit the coffee shops, local markets, visit the shopping Malls around town and craft villages for souvenirs. Then you will be transferred to the airport in time to check in for your flight!
