ABOUT 7-Day Gorilla & Bisoke Volcano Hiking
You'll drive to Nyungwe Forest. On the way, you'll visit Nyanza King’s Palace, the National Museum of Butare, and Nyanza was the headquarters of the ancient Rwanda Kingdom before the arrival of the Europeans. The compound has the modern palace constructed by King Mutara in 1934. It is tastefully decorated with the traditional mats and utensils.

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport
>> You will be met by a Golden Rwanda Safaris driver-guide at the Kigali International airport, who you will meet and greet, and comment on the safari. Then, you'll drive and stay overnight at the 2000 hotel. Then, if you choose this, it will take you to wake up at least at 4 am so that you can be able to catch up with gorilla's tracking time.

Day 2: Kigali - Nyungwe National Park
>> An early morning breakfast is followed by a drive to Nyungwe Forest. Day 3: Hiking, Trekking, Colobus Trails of Nyungwe and Canopy walk
>> After breakfast, you will enter Nyungwe forest (6:00 am) to track the chimpanzee and Canopy walk. Thereafter, you will return to the Hotel for lunch. Afterward, you will be driving near Lake Kivu on your way to Kibuye. This road is around Lake Kivu and it has a good view of the Congo side. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 4: Nyungwe – Kibuye
>> After breakfast at the hotel, you'll spend your day at Kivu Beach. If you are a birdwatcher, this is a great place for this activity. They are located on one Island called Napoleon inside Lake Kivu. Then, we'll take you back to your hotel, spend time relaxing at Lake Kivu. After lunch, you will have a short Kibuye City Tour. Later, you'll go back and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Kibuye - Gisenyi - Ruhengeri – Kinigi
>> Distance 213 km with 6 hours driving time.
After breakfast, you'll drive to Gisenyi and finally to Kinigi. The drive from Kibuye to Gisenyi is via the most beautiful providing spectacular views of the tea growing country of Gisovu and Kayove. Brief stops are provided for photography. A four-hour drive takes you to Gisenyi for lunch and a brief city tour. Thereafter, you'll drive for two hours to Ruhengeri and finally Kinigi, the base of gorilla tracking. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 6: Gorillas in the Mist
>> Breakfast is allowed early morning, followed by a drive to Kinigi Park Headquarters for group, guide allocation, and briefing. This is followed by a drive to the trailheads, where hiking and trekking up the hills to the bamboo zone begins. Hiking, trekking, and tracking gorillas may take 2-4 hours. You'll see and stay with the gorillas for one hour. You'll descend to your hotel for lunch. You'll spend the afternoon at leisure or on a tour of the area, visiting Lakes Burera and Ruhondo. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 7: Bisoke Volcano Hiking – Kigali
>> After breakfast, you'll trek the mountains (Bisoke Volcano Hiking) for another memorable experience with the Volcano. You'll go back to your hotel for lunch. Then, you'll be driven to Kigali, have a Kigali city trip including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi, contact with local people for the discovery of artisanal products (Collar, Bracelet, etc). Then, you'll transfer to Kigali Airport.
