Day 01: Welcome to Tanzania – Your Safari Begins
>> Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, your guide will be waiting to greet you and transfer you to Mtoni River Lodge in Arusha (a 45-60 minute drive). At the lodge, your guide will provide a short introduction and go over the details of your tour.
Depending on your arrival time and preferences, your guide will offer recommendations for the rest of the day. Relax, unwind, and enjoy your first night in Tanzania with dinner and comfortable accommodation at Mtoni River Lodge.

Day 02: Arusha National Park – Walk, Wildlife & Scenic Views
>> After breakfast, set off for a full-day adventure in Arusha National Park (50 km, ~1-hour drive). Start with a guided nature walk alongside an armed ranger, immersing yourself in the park’s lush landscapes, towering fig trees, and waterfalls. The walk lasts 2-4 hours, depending on your preference, offering a unique opportunity to explore on foot.
After a picnic lunch, enjoy a scenic game drive, spotting giraffes, elephants, water buffalo, Black and White Colobus monkeys, and an impressive 400+ bird species. Take in breathtaking views of Mount Meru, Kilimanjaro, lakes, swamps, and steep cliffs. For those seeking extra adventure, optional excursions (at additional cost) include a walk to Meru’s summit or a Canoe Safari.
Return to Mtoni River Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on a day filled with nature and wildlife.

Day 03: Cultural Encounters & Safari in Lake Manyara
>> After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Mto Wa Mbu, a vibrant town where over 100 ethnic groups, including the Maasai, coexist. Spend 1-2 hours exploring local markets, plantations, and artisan workshops, gaining insight into traditional Tanzanian life. Taste banana beer in an authentic bar and experience the warmth of Tanzanian hospitality.
For lunch, enjoy a delicious local meal prepared by a cheerful Tanzanian “mama”, featuring traditional flavors.
In the afternoon, head to Lake Manyara National Park for a thrilling safari, where you’ll encounter elephants, tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and hippos set against the stunning backdrop of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
As the day ends, drive to Ngorongoro Farm House for dinner and overnight accommodation, surrounded by the serene beauty of the highlands.

Day 04: Journey to the Iconic Serengeti
>> After an early breakfast, set off with lunchboxes for an exciting journey to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, take in breathtaking panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater from the rim before continuing on an adventurous safari drive through the heart of the Serengeti’s Seronera region.
The Seronera River area is teeming with wildlife, offering incredible game-viewing opportunities. Keep your eyes open for big cats, grazing herds, and diverse birdlife as you traverse this wild and untamed landscape.
After an exhilarating day, arrive at Kati Kati Tented Camp for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the raw beauty of the Serengeti wilderness.

Day 05: Serengeti Safari – Tracking Wildlife Across the Plains
>> Spend a full day on safari in the Serengeti, exploring the shores of the Seronera and Mara Rivers in search of unforgettable wildlife moments. Witness the drama of wildebeest crossings, a hunting cheetah, or a lion on the prowl. Marvel at the silhouette of a giraffe against the endless horizon and spot massive Nile crocodiles—some over six meters long—lurking at the river’s edge, waiting to ambush their prey.
This journey takes you off the beaten path, exploring lesser-known areas for an intimate and immersive experience. Your route will follow the seasonal migration patterns, ensuring optimal wildlife sightings.

Day 06: Serengeti Central - Ngorongoro
>> After breakfast, set off for a game drive in the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the caldera while taking in breathtaking panoramic views. With your expert guide’s keen eye, you may spot the elusive rhino or witness an active pride of lions up close.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool, where you can observe the playful hippos as they wallow in the water and indulge in a mud bath. For a deeper cultural experience, opt for a visit to a Maasai Boma (optional, additional cost) to see how semi-nomadic Maasai communities preserve their age-old traditions.
As the day winds down, drive to Ngorongoro Farm House for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Tarangire’s landscapes are rich with wildlife, offering incredible sightings of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. The park’s lifeline, the Tarangire River, attracts animals year-round, creating perfect game-viewing opportunities.
As the day comes to an end, settle in at Maramboi Tented Camp for dinner and a restful overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 08: Tarangire Safari – Up-Close with Elephants
>> Spend the day exploring Tarangire National Park, a haven for elephants and diverse wildlife. As you drive through the park, you may encounter elephants wandering near the campsite or gathered along the dry riverbed.
Continue to Larmaku Swamp, a lush oasis where elephants, buffalo, and other animals cool off in the water and take shelter beneath towering acacia trees. While wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, the chance of spotting large elephant herds in Tarangire is an incredible 99.9%.
As the sun sets, return to Maramboi Tented Camp for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay, surrounded by the raw beauty of the African wilderness.

Day 09: Farewell Tanzania – Until Next Time
>> Depending on your itinerary, we will transfer you to your lodge in Arusha, Arusha Airport for a domestic flight (e.g., to Zanzibar), or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return journey home. If you’d like to extend your relaxation before departure, late checkout is available for an additional charge.
