You may also be lucky enough to spot more elusive species such as the elegant gerenuk or the rare fringe-eared oryx. The scenery here is equally striking, characterized by open woodlands and the iconic baobab trees—ancient sentinels known as Africa’s "Trees of Life".

As you cross into the Serengeti, your adventure seamlessly becomes a game drive, offering your first glimpses of the region’s remarkable wildlife. The southern plains are characterized by sweeping grasslands and scattered granite kopjes—ancient rock formations that serve as perfect lookout points for predators such as lions and leopards. This area is particularly renowned during calving season, when immense herds of wildebeest gather to give birth before continuing their migration northward.
The Serengeti reveals different moods and vistas depending on where you stay—from open savannahs to woodland groves—each offering its own unique wildlife encounters and natural beauty.

With your expert private guide, you’ll explore landscapes in search of the migrating herds. Along the way, you’re likely to encounter a wide array of wildlife, including the park’s famous big cats—lions, cheetahs, and leopards—alongside countless other species that thrive in this rich ecosystem.
For a unique perspective, consider enhancing your experience with a sunrise hot-air balloon safari. Floating gently above the plains, you’ll witness the Serengeti come to life from the sky—a serene and magical way to take in Africa’s most celebrated wilderness.
