Day 01: Transfer from Zanzibar Airport to Shaba Boutique Hotel

>> Upon arrival at the airport of Zanzibar, your driver will take you to Shaba Boutique Hotel, where you will check in to a suite room. Take your time enjoying the history of Stone Town, the many restaurants and the daily life in this historic town. Don't forget to explore the night market!

Day 02: Zanzibar to Nyerere NP/Selous GR and your first game drive

>> After an early breakfast, you will be taken to the airport for a flight in a sturdy bush plane to Nyerere. As soon as you arrive, you will spend a full-day game driving in Nyerere National Park (Selous). It’s one of the largest remaining wilderness areas in Africa. The reserve is crossed by the second biggest river in Tanzania, the Rufiji River, creating a very dynamic ecosystem. Selous is home to over 350 species of birds and reptiles, and about 2,000 plant species. You will also find a wide range of wildlife, including African elephant, hippopotamus, lion, Cape buffalo, Masai giraffe, zebra, crocodile, and everything in between. The vehicle is an open four-wheel-drive safari Jeep, perfectly suited for taking unobstructed pictures. The vehicles are low emission (thus less noise), to take you up-close to the wildlife. At the end of the day, you will check-in at Africa Safari Selous for a good dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 03: Bush walk & Boat safari

>> After a delicious breakfast, time to discover the area in a different way. The Bushmen are awaiting you to explain the natural surroundings. In the afternoon, a boat safari on the Rufiji River. At the end of this exciting day, you will have dinner and overnight in Africa Safari Selous.

Day 04: Transfer from Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) to Zanzibar

>> After breakfast, you take a short ride to the airstrip for a domestic flight back to Zanzibar Airport. Next, you will arrive at Zanzibar Bay Resort. Here, you will check in to a luxury room. In the coming days, you can enjoy Zanzibar Bay Resort, the ocean and relax, or if you like, you can venture out on one of the many excursions offered.
