Indulge yourself in the most fun-filled 17 days of your life on the soil of the great pearl of Africa that never fails to deliver beyond your wildest dreams in its tendency to hold a few surprises in your pocket. Our safari begins on the road less traveled to Africa’s true wilderness, Kidepo Valley National Park, and winds up in the luscious savannahs of Uganda’s smallest savannah park, Lake Mburo.

Day 01: Kampala City
>> Today after your breakfast, you will be picked up at your place of stay in Entebbe to explore the capital city of Uganda, its rich cultural attractions, historic attractions and so much more. From the busy town of Kampala, you will wind up your safari trip in a relaxing tour of the Botanical Gardens and finally check into the UWEC Bandas for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02: Mabamba Swamp
>> After breakfast, you will be picked by the guide to transfer to Mabamba Swamp for a relaxing canoeing experience while in search of the elusive shoe-billed stork. When you finally get the privilege of spotting this beautiful bird, you will sit back on the shore and have lunch. Afterward, you will embark on your journey to Kampala to check into our booked safari lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03: Sunset over Sipi Falls
>> Today, our expedition heads further east to Kapchorwa, a land settled on the slopes of Mount Elgon. After checking into your booked lodge and recharging with lunch, you will embark on a scenic hike through the abundant vegetation toward Sipi Falls, the jewel of the east. Kapchorwa, which translates to “a friend’s place”, is a lush landscape full of breathtaking vistas that shimmer in the setting sun as you make your return journey.

Day 04: North to Kidepo Valley National Park
>> After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on a drive to the northernmost corner of Uganda. Our destination is Kidepo National Park; an expanse of pristine wilderness that borders Kenya and Sudan. On arrival, you will check into your lodging and settle in for the night.

Day 05: Game Drives in Kidepo Valley National Park
>> Your game drive starts early to ensure an encounter with the wildlife grazing and gallivanting in the cool hours before the sun peaks. You will return to the camp for lunch and later in the afternoon, you will set out to Kanangorok hot springs in anticipation of great viewings of African ostriches and a variety of bird species.

Day 06: The View from Morungule Mountain and Evening Game Drive
>> It’s time to lace up your boots and pack plenty of water, snacks, and lunch. Today, you will venture on a hike to a rare destination, Morungule Mountain. Our determined hiking is rewarded with a vantage point that lets you see the far reaches of Kidepo Valley National Park on one side and on the other side peer over the border into South Sudan. You will descend and hop into your vehicle for an evening game drive before returning to your lodge.

Day 07: Kidepo to Murchison Falls National Park
>> After breakfast, you will head northwest to Murchison Falls National Park which cradles the world’s strongest waterfalls and is home to an incredible array of wildlife and birds. The day’s journey ends with a check into your booked safari lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 08: Murchison Falls National Park
>> Before the dawn breaks, you will venture into the populous north side of the park where the diverse wildlife keeps you alert in hopes of spotting as many species as possible; from elephants, giraffes, and lions, to the elusive, nocturnal leopards. After lunch, you will set out for a launch trip to the base of Murchison Falls. Buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos lounge along the banks in the company of aquatic birds like the dwarf kingfisher, the goliath heron, and the hornbill. You will dock at the foot of the falls and hike to the top to witness the breathtaking scene created where the Nile surges through a narrow opening and pours out into the devil’s cauldron, crowned by a permanent rainbow.

Day 09: En Route to Kibale National Park
>> Your journey takes you further southwest to Kibale National Park. The winding road reveals divine landscapes, including a stop for lunch in Fort Portal; a town cradled in the foothills of Mount Rwenzori. From the famed land of the “mountains of the moon”, you will venture on to your booked accommodation for overnight camping that will usher you into the adventures of the next day.

Day 10: Semuliki National Park
>> Today you will set out to Semuliki to explore the famous Sempaya hot springs. Around these beautiful hot springs, you will find the most unique bird species as you explore as well as the most scenic views. From the hot spring viewing, you will have lunch and later set out for a hike for a scenic view of crater lakes. You will wind up the evening in Kibale Forest National Park for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Chimp Tracking in Kibale National Park
>> Breakfast is followed by a briefing at the Kibale National Park headquarters in preparation for today’s chimpanzee tracking expedition. You will follow in the footsteps of tracking experts to get a glimpse into the habits and habitats of our closest primate relatives. From the forest, you will return for a lunch break and then make your way to Lake Nkuruba where you will be greeted by idyllic scenes of the crater lakes.

Day 12: Kazinga Channel and Game Viewing
>> A brief drive takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you check in and enjoy a relaxing morning before taking on the best the park has to offer. After lunch, you will head to Mweya where you will launch an afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga Channel. This cruise offers the best view of aquatic birds, hippos, buffaloes, and other wildlife on the waterside. In the evening, you will enjoy splendid vistas of the crater lakes en route to a game drive in Kasenyi before returning to the lodge for the night.

Day 13: Journey through Ishasha Sector
>> You will depart from Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast and head for the open grasslands of Ishasha, the favored habitat of the tree-climbing lions. This route gives you a chance to spot one of these rare tree-climbing lions on the way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will check in for the night.

Day 14: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Bunyonyi
>> Today, you will undertake a trek into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on one of Uganda’s most treasured travel experiences: gorilla tracking. Forest guides have identified families ahead of your journey and will lead you through the undergrowth to their dwelling. Here, you will get to watch the gorilla families you so easily relate to in their natural habitat. In the comfort of the forest, you will look on as juveniles play around the adult females, protected by the presence of a formidable silverback. You will return to the lodge for a few minutes of relaxation and check out, heading straight to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 15: Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo
>> With a glow of rejuvenation at Uganda’s deepest lake in a morning relaxing canoeing spree on the waters of Black Panther's featured lake, you will make your way to Uganda’s smallest park, Lake Mburo for an evening of relaxation. Upon arrival, you will check into the UWA camping grounds by the Lake and set out for an evening game drive after pitching up your tent.

Day 16: Morning Game and Boat Cruise at Lake Mburo National Park
>> You will wake up to the delightful chirping of the birds and after breakfast set out for an early morning game drive for a chance to catch most wildlife in the wee hours of the morning. You will return to the lodge and after lunch, set out for a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Mburo that will enable you to see the aquatic wildlife.

Day 17: Transfer to Entebbe
>> You will wake up to the beautiful Lake Mburo taking your last glance before you check out to set off to Entebbe where you will be dropped off. On the way, you will get a stop at the Uganda Equator for a picturesque moment and for a few souvenirs in the shops.
