ABOUT 2-Day Chobe National Park Camping Safari Tour

This trip starts in Victoria Falls, Livingstone or in Kasane lodges and hotels. It's a one night 2 days camping safari. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip. You'll get the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephants and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst.

Day 01: Drive to Chobe National Park (Chobe River)

>> The clients are transferred from Victoria Falls and Livingstone to Botswana at 7:30 am. Guests are met at Kazungula by their guide and are escorted through immigration formalities. A short briefing will follow on some pertinent facts such as safety, and some regional information. Clients staying in Kasane are just picked up from their respective hotels and lodges to start the tour with others. At 9:30 am, guests board the boat and commence a 3 hour boat cruise into the Chobe National Park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephants and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The boat cruise ends at the Coffee Buzz at 12:30 pm. After a satisfying meal, there is an opportunity to do any last minute shopping in Kasane, as there are no shops within the park for personal extras guests may require.

Day 02: Chobe National Park

>> Guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light continental style breakfast, you'll head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats or wild dogs as they are still active at this time and chances of seeing them are good. At around mid to late morning, guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and an opportunity to take a refreshing shower. After packing, you'll all leave the camp on the last drive, to be dropped off in Kasane/Kazungula at 4:30 pm and be transferred back to Victoria Falls.
