Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred by vehicle to the historic city of Harar, a journey of approximately 2 to 3 hours through scenic landscapes. Afternoon:Once in Harar, delve into the rich history and vibrant culture of the Old Town, Jugol, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the fourth holiest city of Islam. Explore the labyrinth of narrow alleyways that make up the ancient walled city. Wander through bustling marketplaces, renowned for their colorful displays of local goods, spices, and artisanal crafts. Step inside traditional Harari homes. Evening: As night falls, experience one of Harar’s most iconic and thrilling traditions: the Hyena Feeding Ceremony. Outside the city gates, meet the legendary Hyena Men, who have built a remarkable relationship with these wild animals. Witness them feeding hyenas by hand, a practice steeped in folklore and trust.
