Day 01: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

>> Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Dar es Salaam aboard a train heading to Mikumi. Relax and enjoy the picturesque landscapes as you traverse rural Tanzania. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the train station and transfer you to the park for a late morning game drive. You will have lunch at Mikumi Cottages within Mikumi National Park.

Mikumi is known as the mini-Serengeti for its own unfenced flat lands. Explore Mikumi’s vast savannah, which is home to elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, and more. Later, check in at Mikumi Cottages for dinner and an overnight stay.
