The trip runs from Victoria Falls, Livingstone, or your hotel or lodge in Kasane. From its northeast entry gate, it’s less than 100km to Victoria Falls and Livingstone. Day 01: Transfer to Chobe National Park

>> At 7:30 am, guests are transferred from their respective hotels or lodges to Kasane, Botswana and are escorted through immigration formalities. A short briefing will follow on some pertinent facts such as safety, and regional information. At 9:30 am, guests board the boat and commence a 3-hour boat cruise into the Chobe National Park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and, of course, scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The boat cruise ends at the Coffee Buzz Restaurant at 12:30 pm. There is an opportunity to do last-minute shopping in Kasane, as there are no shops in the park. Guests then depart on an afternoon game drive, this being the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink.

Day 02: Chobe National Park

>> Guests are woken at dawn with warm water poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light continental breakfast, vehicles head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats or the rare wild dogs as they are still active at this time and chances of seeing them are good. Around mid- to late morning, guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and a siesta, getting an opportunity to read, rest or take a refreshing shower.

When the day starts to cool off, another afternoon game drive follows. Chobe National Park has a wide variety of game, with cats and large herbivores such as elephant and buffalo being a highlight. However, rarer game such as puku, eland, sable and roan antelope, along with many more common antelope species, can also be viewed here. Dinner follows, accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night.

Day 03: Departure Chobe National Park

After a quick cup of tea or coffee and some cereal, you'll head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats as they are still active at this time and chances of seeing them are good. Around mid- to late morning guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and an opportunity to take a refreshing shower.

Afterwards, pack up and then leave the camp for your last activity which is usually another boat cruise. You'll be dropped off in Kasane/Kazungula at 4:30 pm and transferred back to Victoria Falls.
