About 3-Day Kilimanjaro Summit via Marangu Route

This is a very fast and physically demanding summit itinerary with limited acclimatization. It is recommended only for hikers with very good fitness and preferably previous high-altitude experience. The decision to continue toward the summit will always depend on the climber's condition, weather, altitude response, and the professional guide's safety assessment. Day 01 Marangu Gate - Horombo Hut

After registration at Marangu Gate, begin your trek through the lush rainforest, passing Mandara Hut before continuing toward Horombo Hut. The trail gradually gains altitude as the landscape changes from rainforest to moorland. Overnight: Horombo Hut Altitude: Approx. 1,860 m - 3,720 m Trekking time: Approx. 8 - 10 hours

Day 02 Horombo Hut - Kibo Hut

After an early breakfast, continue across the alpine desert toward Kibo Hut. Upon arrival, you will have an early dinner and rest in preparation for the summit attempt later that night. Overnight: Kibo Hut Altitude: Approx. 3,720 m - 4,703 m Trekking time: Approx. 5 - 7 hours

Day 03 Kibo Hut - Uhuru Peak - Marangu Gate

Begin the challenging overnight ascent toward Gilman's Point (5,685 m) before continuing along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. After reaching the summit and taking photos, descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing through Horombo Hut and down to Marangu Gate. At the gate, you will meet our team for the transfer back to your hotel or Airport. Highest point: Uhuru Peak - 5,895 m Total trekking time: Approx. 14 - 18+ hours, depending on pace and conditions.
