ABOUT 6-Day Ndutu Migration December to April - Tanzania safari
This migration safari is best from December to the end of March and the beginning of April every year. You will be able to witness millions of wildebeest in this calving season. You will visit Lake Manyara National Park, travel to the Southern Serengeti to see the wildebeest in the Ndutu region, and finish your tour with a visit to the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport - Arusha City
>> Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by one of our experienced driver guides. After a brief meeting, he will escort you to your reserved hotel in Arusha town. On the way, he will introduce you to this wonderful city and country.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
>> Today you will enjoy the excellent view over Lake Manyara, see elephants up close in the woodlands, and visit the renowned Manyara hippo pool where many hippos stay in the water from early morning until late in the evening. You will overnight at Marera Valley Lodge on a full-board basis.
Lake Manyara National Park covers an area of only 330 sq. km (127 sq. miles) of which up to 200 sq. km (77 sq. miles) is made up of the lake when water levels are high. Lake Manyara is an excellent place for bird watching and a good area to find elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, and maybe even a legendary tree-climbing lion! At some point during your game drive you will get out of your vehicle at the hippo pool to stretch your legs and observe the hippos.

Day 3: Karatu - Serengeti Ndutu
>> After breakfast, our guide will pick you up and drive to Serengeti Ndutu which is located between the area of Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Here, we will have game drives for 2 days.
Ndutu provides the best wildlife viewing during the green season which is around December up to March. Ndutu is found on the southern part of the Serengeti plains where around 8,000 wildebeest calves are born every day. The area is mostly covered by a forest of acacia trees. This is also the best place to spot 6 species of cats (leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, African wildcat, and serval).

Day 4: Full Day Ndutu
>> You will spend a full day in the Ndutu area where there is a high chance of viewing the wildebeest migration from December to March. You'll witness some real hunting scenes during this wildebeest calving season.

Day 5: Serengeti Ndutu - Ngorongoro Crater
>> After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will enjoy game viewing and visit the famous Ngorongoro Crater. This is the best place to see the black rhino (if you're lucky). Later in the evening, you will drive to your reserved accommodation in Karatu town for dinner and overnight.
The crater is the world's largest caldera which was formed after an explosion that occurred approximately 2 to 3 million years ago. The crater floor is 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level, and the area has around 30,000 animals and a great variety of birds.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park to Arusha
>> After a tasty breakfast, our driver guide will pick you at your hotel together with your picnic lunch and drive you to Tarangire for game viewing. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we will head back to Arusha and will be the end of our Safari.
The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, which is the only source of water for the wild animals here during the dry season. The park is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons.
