6-Day The Magical of Kilimanjaro via ...

>> In the morning, a guide and your team will arrive at the hotel to welcome you and give you a short briefing. You will then drive by vehicle to the eastern entrance of Kilimanjaro National Park: Marangu Gate (1,860 m). After completing a few formalities, acquiring climbing permits and registering with the search and rescue service, the hike to Mandara Hut (2,700 m) begins. The hiking route includes a passage through the rainforest (where tropical showers are very likely). We therefore recommend that you take not only spare clothes, but also your raincoats.

When you reach camp, our mountain support crew will take care of essentials, set up tents and prepare lunch.
Throughout the Marangu route you will spend your nights in special huts. They offer a great alternative for those who don't want to sleep in tents.

>> Early morning after breakfast. The group leaves Mandara Hut to undertake a moderate hike towards the second high altitude camp: Horombo Hut (3,720 m). When you reach the camp on this day, you can observe two volcanoes at the same time: Kibo and Mawenzi. A few hours after lunch you will have to complete an acclimatization hike towards Kibo Hut with an elevation gain of 200 meters and then hike back to Horombo Hut where dinner will be prepared for you.

Note: The acclimatization hike is an easy hike with a slight elevation gain to speed up the acclimatization process. You should take the acclimatization hikes very seriously. They increase your chances of successfully climbing Kilimanjaro and protect you from the effects of altitude sickness.

Distance: 2.5 km / Hiking time: 1-2 hours.

>> After breakfast you will do an acclimatization hike towards Kibo Hut and back. After lunch, you have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, take photos of Mawenzi Volcano, or sleep before the upcoming climb to Kibo Hut.

>> On this day, the group hikes to the Kibo hut (4,700 m) directly after breakfast. The actual hike is not very difficult. Remember to maintain a reasonable pace to maintain your strength for the climb to the summit of Kilimanjaro. When you reach the camp, you will be served lunch. Afterwards, we recommend that you sleep as much as possible, avoid strenuous activities and drink plenty of water.
Distance: 10km / Hiking time: 4-8 hours.

•  Accommodation: Kibo Hut Budget mountain hut located on Mt Kilimanjaro

>> Today you start at night from the Kibo Hut (4,700 m) and begin your climb to the Kilimanjaro peak: Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). The climb will be moderate from a physical standpoint, but altitude poses a much more serious problem. Throughout the trek, each pair of climbers will be accompanied by their own guide who will monitor their endurance and mental determination. After your successful climb to Uhuru Peak, you can descend to the next glacier if you wish. You will then return to Kibo Camp and, after a two-hour break, continue your descent to Horombo Hut (3,720 m).

Note: Don't forget that 90% of all accidents happen during the descent, including all broken arms and legs. Please pay attention to your feet as there is a high risk of damaging your toenails.

>> In the morning you will be offered a hot breakfast. We will then drive to the exit of Kilimanjaro National Park: Marangu Gate (1,860 m). After your descent, the entire group will gather to congratulate you and then you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts on the trip in the guestbook. Finally, we will give you your commemorative certificates (in our office) and transfer you back to the hotel.
