>> In the morning, your guide and mountain support crew will meet you at the hotel before you embark on your adventure to Kilimanjaro National Park's southern gate. Once the guides have secured your climbing permits and touched base with the search and rescue services, you'll be ready to ascend to Mandara Hut (2,720 m / 8,922 ft).

Remember to pack a raincoat, as you'll be navigating through the lush, tropical rainforest - an enchanting ecosystem teeming with life, where spontaneous showers are not uncommon.

Upon your arrival at Mandara Hut, a lunch awaits you, freshly prepared to refuel your energy. Following this, you will be shown to your hut for the night – your own cozy nook amidst the towering peaks of Kilimanjaro.

>> Rise and shine to an early morning breakfast before leaving the Mandara Hut. Set out on a trek that will take you to the next high-altitude camp: the Horombo Hut (3,720 m / 12,204 ft). As you approach the camp, prepare to be struck by the jaw-dropping sight of not one, but two majestic volcanoes: Kibo and Mawenzi.

After enjoying a well-deserved lunch, gear up for an acclimatization hike towards Kibo Hut to test a gain of 200 m / 656 ft in altitude. Remember, these acclimatization hikes are key to your Kilimanjaro journey. Though they might seem easy, they play a crucial role in helping your body adjust to the altitude, increasing your chances of successfully reaching the summit and preventing altitude sickness. So take these hikes seriously and enjoy every moment of your Kilimanjaro adventure!

Post-lunch, the afternoon leisure offers you so many opportunities. Explore the breathtaking surroundings, capture the majestic Mawenzi Volcano through your lens, or opt for a nap to keep energy for the upcoming ascent to your summit camp.

Among other short routes, the 6-day Marangu route owes its exceptional success rates of 85% to this additional acclimatization day and night at Horombo Hut. This strategic pause not only enhances your acclimatization transition but also significantly boosts the success rates by allowing your body to adjust better to the altitude at rest.

Upon arrival at the camp, focus on rest and hydration. Get plenty of sleep, and avoid any strenuous activities. You'll need all the energy you can muster because tonight, you'll be scaling the heights of Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,340 f). This is the moment you've been waiting for!

Shorly after midnight, your team will embark on the most thrilling part of your journey from the Kibo Camp. The climb to Uhuru Peak, standing tall at 5,895 m / 19,340 feet, is more than just a physical challenge; it's a test of your endurance as your body grapples with the effects of high altitude.

Don't worry, you won't be alone! For every pair of climbers, there'll be a guide, constantly monitoring your fitness throughout this challenging climb. Once you've conquered the peak, you can opt for a spectacular walk to the nearest glacier, a reward for your hard-earned victory.

Next, you'll start your careful walk down to Horombo Camp, which sits at 3,720 m / 12,205 f. You'll get a 2-hour break at Kibo Camp. Be careful, it's really important to remember that most accidents happen on the way down. Watch your step!

They'll celebrate your victory with certificates of achievement, a testament to your incredible journey. Then, with hearts full of accomplishment and memories to last a lifetime, you'll be taken back to the comfort of your hotel.
