Our driver will drive you to Northern Serengeti to the key areas where you will observe the mass movement of the wildebeest and all the drama it entails. We’d recommend the flash-points of the Mara River and the Ndutu Plains. River crossings at Kogatende start in July as the mega herd settles into the area. Between July to October, wildlife viewing is at its best with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day. There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses. Thus, these are the best months to see the migration in the western region of Serengeti. From August to September, you can see the great migration in northern Serengeti.
