8-Day Wildlife Safari| Beach Experience - Tanzania safari Latest itinerary

>> After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up and your safari will commence. You will drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park which takes approximately 3 hours. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. The park is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. The park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. You will enjoy a daylong game viewing with a picnic lunch looking out over the river, to break up the time in the car, you will drive to the lodge or campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

>> After an early morning breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area while having a game viewing en route. You will enjoy the game drive towards the campsite. You will continue your drive to Serengeti. As you crest the hillside, spread out before you, as far as the eyes can see, is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti means "endless plains" in Kiswahili and this 6,900 sq mile (18,000 sq km) park is inhabited by more than 2 million large animals including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson's gazelles.

>> Today you will wake up very early to do an early morning safari before breakfast, to spot the animals when they are more active, and also to have a fantastic sun rise in front of you. The sunrise in the African savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. After the game drive, you will return to the camp for brunch. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to Ngorongoro, the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. With walls 2,000ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq miles, the crater is a virtual Noah's Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhinos. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingoes, a forest, and open plains. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusks, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses.

>> After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater for half-day game drives inside the crater. This is undoubtedly the best place to see the black rhinos in Tanzania as well as a pride of lions that include the magnificent black-mined males. There are lots of colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other game include leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and lots of other members of the antelope family. Small mammals of all sorts can also be seen here. Later in the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha or the airport for drop-off.

>> After breakfast, you can relax at the lodge and, if time allows, take a short tour of Karatu town for shopping before transferring to Arusha Airport. Your air transfer to Zanzibar will depart from Arusha Airport. Our driver in Zanzibar will be waiting for you at Zanzibar Airport for your private transfer to your hotel in Stone Town.

>> This large village at Zanzibar Island's northernmost tip was once best known as a dhow-building center. Today it's the most popular travel destination, thanks in part to the beautiful beach and stunning sunsets. The result: a place where traditional and modern knock against each other with full force. Fishing boats still launch from the beach - a scene unchanged for centuries. But also on offer are more modern delights like a wide variety of restaurants and activities to join.

Spending time relaxing on the beach is of course always a great choice. But, if you are getting restless, there are many things to do around Nungwi. It is safe to walk around and Nungwi is quite an attractive village to explore. We have listed some tours for you that might be interesting - but you can easily explore Nungwi on your own.

On the way back to Zanzibar International Airport, you can stop at Stone Town to buy souvenirs.
