>> Chobe National Park is home to one of the largest concentrations of elephants on the African continent. Chobe is particularly known for its large herds of elephant and buffalo, as well as two antelope species that can't be found anywhere else in Botswana; the puku and Chobe bushbuck. There are vast floodplains that occur along the river and Chobe is home to a vast dry savannah. Dense teak forests provide thick cover in the north-eastern parts of the where watching the elephants drink and bathe in the river is an unforgettable sight, even more impressive, when herds of buffalo, rafts of hippos and Nile crocodiles are part of the scene.
