>> After breakfast, take a morning flight to Bahir Dar, located on the shores of Lake Tana. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel for check-in. If time permits, enjoy a visit to Bezait Island, which offers a breathtaking view of Lake Tana and the famous Blue Nile River. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat trip of approximately 3 to 4 hours on Lake Tana. During the boat ride, you’ll have the opportunity to admire the ancient monasteries located on the lake’s islands, each with a rich history and beautiful frescoes.

>> After breakfast, we will drive to the Blue Nile Falls, one of Ethiopia's most famous natural attractions. The falls, also known as Tis Issat (meaning "Water of Smoke"), are truly spectacular, and you’ll have plenty of time to take in the views and enjoy the surrounding scenery. After lunch in Bahir Dar, we will continue our journey with a scenic drive to Gonder, a historic city known as the "City of Castles." Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel.

>> Today will be a full day exploring the historic and architectural wonders of Gonder. We will start with a visit to the Royal Enclosure (Fasil Ghebbi), home to the impressive castles of former Ethiopian emperors. Next, we will visit Debre Birhan Selassie Church, known for its stunning murals depicting religious and historical scenes. You will also have the chance to see King Fasiladas’ Bath, an iconic site used for the Timkat (Epiphany) celebration, and the Empress Mentewab Palace. The afternoon will offer the opportunity to take in magnificent views of the Simien Mountains, which are visible from several of Gonder’s historical sites.
