Day 01: Arrive in Lusaka

>> You’ll arrive in Lusaka today and be met for a road transfer to the Protea Hotel Lusaka, where you’ll spend the night.

This afternoon, you'll unwind and make the most of the hotel’s leisure facilities, including a pool and on-site restaurant. Conveniently located next to the Arcades Shopping Centre, it’s a great spot to pick up any last-minute items before your safari begins in earnest the following day.

Day 02-04: Transfer to South Luangwa National Park

>> Early this morning, you'll be transferred from your hotel to Lusaka Airport for your flight to Mfuwe, arriving around midday. Upon arrival, a driver will take you to Flatdogs Camp, located at the edge of South Luangwa National Park. After lunch, you'll relax by the pool before heading out for an afternoon safari with an expert guide.

South Luangwa is renowned for exceptional wildlife viewing, with species such as lions, leopards, elephants, and hippos. At Flatdogs, you'll enjoy morning and afternoon safaris, including game drives and guided walks. The camp is known for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere, with attentive staff and owners on-site. Whether relaxing by the pool, sipping drinks at the bar, or dining in the restaurant, you'll be well cared for throughout your stay.

Day 05-09: Visit Lake Malawi

>> This morning, you'll enjoy some downtime before being transferred back to Mfuwe airport for your flight to Lilongwe, Malawi. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and transferred by road and boat to Blue Zebra Island Lodge, located on the western edge of Lake Malawi. You'll spend the next five nights in this stunning lodge, known for its beautiful setting, excellent food, and exceptional service.

Your time at Lake Malawi offers the perfect opportunity to unwind after your safari. You'll relax in the sunshine and enjoy various activities such as swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and boat trips. For those who enjoy nature, there are also birdwatching and nature trails to explore. This island paradise provides a tranquil retreat, where the friendly staff will ensure you are well cared for during your stay.
