ABOUT 15-Day Zambia Highlights Lodge Safari
This 15-day safari gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful African wilderness in Zambia’s best parks. You will spend three days in Lower Zambezi National Park, five days in Kafue National Park (including the world-famous Busanga Plains), and four days in South Luangwa National Park.

Day 01: Arrival at South Luangwa NP
>> After arrival at the airport in Mfuwe, transfer to Mfuwe town where you can do some shopping for the next days. We carry on to Wildlife Camp. There is no activity planned on that afternoon, a night game drive can be booked with the lodge (own expense). Overnight in chalets at Wildlife Camp or similar. (-/-/D).

Day 02-04: South Luangwa National Park
>> South Luangwa NP is known for its abundance of African wildlife: Thorneycroft’s giraffe, Cookson’s Gnu, Crawshay Zebra, and big herds of buffalo and elephant.
Game drives along the Luangwa River often produce spectacular sightings. Hippo families can be seen in great numbers in the river, unparalleled in Africa.
The colourful Carmine bee-eaters are often seen perching in front of their nests in the riverbanks.
Overnight in Chalets at Wildlife Camp or similar. (3x FB).

Day 05: Lusaka
>> After a last game drive in the morning in South Luangwa National Park, transfer to the airport in Mfuwe and flight to Lusaka in the afternoon. Pick up from the airport and transfer to Pioneer Camp. Dinner in the restaurant of the Lodge at your own expense.

Day 06-07: Kafue National Park
>> Transfer to Kafue National Park, Zambia’s largest and oldest National Parks. This park is known for its diversity in habitats and is home to 23 different species of antelopes. We do game drives in the central part of the park and stay at Pinnon Safari Lodge.

Day 08-09: Busanga Plains
>> Transfer in north-western direction to Busanga Plains. This area can only be visited in a very limited time of the year. You will spend 2 days in this remote wilderness to explore the area on game drives. Game occurs plentiful in the plains. Overnight in Kasonso Camp.

Day 10: Mumbwa
>> We leave the park on our last game drive and then carry on to Mumbwa on the tar road. This town is about 2 hours away from the capital Lusaka. We stop over here, will spend the rest of the day in the afternoon at the lodge and have dinner in the restaurant.

Day 11-13: Lower Zambezi National Park
>> After breakfast we drive through Lusaka and down the escarpment to the Zambezi valley. A visit to the Lower Zambezi Park is one of the highlights in Zambia.
The Zambezi River on the one side and the Escarpment on the other form the backdrop of our game viewing. We do game drives in the Park and boating along the river shore to watch the animals come to drink. On one of these days, we will do a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi.
We stay overnight in spacious safari tents at Kasaka Lodge or Chalets at Lower Zambezi Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River.

Day 14: Lusaka
>> We leave the beatiful Zambezi Valley and drive back up the escarpment to Zambia's capital Lusaka, where we spend the last night at the beautiful Lilayi Lodge. In the afternoon we can do a short walk on the farm. Dinner in the restaurant at your own expense.

Day 15: Departure
>> After breakfast transfer to Lusaka Airport and departure.
