Day 01: Arrival in Zambia
>> You'll arrive in Lusaka, Zambia's vibrant capital, and stay overnight at Pioneer Camp. You'll enjoy a twin-share chalet with ensuite facilities.
The lodge features a swimming pool, restaurant, and bar, providing a comfortable and relaxing setting for your first night.

Day 02: Kafue River
>> In the morning, you'll drive through the rolling hills of the Miombo forest in southern Zambia, descending into the Zambezi Valley towards Gwabi River Lodge, located along the Kafue River, a key tributary of the Zambezi. In the evening, you'll relax on the lodge's elevated deck while watching the sunset.

Day 03-04: Canoeing at Lower Zambezi
>> After breakfast, you'll embark on a canoe journey down the Zambezi River, passing riverside villages and stunning landscapes. In the evening, you'll camp on Elephant Bones Island, deep in the wilderness. Be sure to leave no trace of your stay and take everything with you.
The next morning, you'll continue your canoe safari through an area teeming with elephants and hippos. Afterward, a motorboat will pick you up and transfer you upstream back to Gwabi River Lodge.
Please note you are expected to pitch and pack up your tent (assistance can be provided). Your tour leaders will do all the meal preparation, but ask that clients help with the washing up on rotation.

Day 05: Visit Great East Road
>> You'll travel north to Lusaka, Zambia's capital, where you and your group will gather supplies from local shops and markets. In the afternoon, you'll drive along the Great East Road, passing through small villages and roadside markets.
You'll arrive in Petauke by sunset and check into Chimwemwe Lodge for the night, where you'll stay in a standard twin room with an ensuite. The lodge features a restaurant and bar for your convenience.

Day 06-08: Explore South Luangwa National Park

Day 09: Visit Kuti Wildlife Reserve
>> You'll cross the border at Chipata into Malawi and head to the capital, Lilongwe, to restock supplies. From there, you'll travel to Kuti Wildlife Reserve, home to various large mammal species like giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras.
You'll spend the night at Woodlands Lilongwe Hotel, staying in a twin-share room with an ensuite.

Day 10-11: Travel to Mulanje Massif
>> You'll take a tour of Malawi’s renowned tea plantations in the Thyolo region before heading to Kara o'Mula Lodge in Mulanje, where you'll stay in a twin-share room with an ensuite.
The next day, you'll embark on a hike up the majestic Mount Mulanje, exploring its streams, waterfalls, and towering peaks.

Day 12-13: Liwonde National Park Time
>> Towering palms and ancient baobabs create a stunning backdrop in southern Malawi’s Liwonde National Park, home to the country’s largest elephant population and the rare Black Rhino.
You'll begin your day with a game drive through open grasslands and woodlands in search of elephants, leopards, antelope, and hippos. Later, you'll enjoy a scenic river safari along the Shire River, watching for crocodiles, elephants, and more.
You'll spend two nights camping at Mvuu Camp, which features a pool, bar, and restaurant.

Day 14: Lake Malawi
>> Lake Malawi, part of the Great Rift Valley system, is an unmissable highlight. You'll travel to Lake Malawi National Park and take a boat trip around the tranquil, tropical haven of Mumbo Island near Cape Maclear.
The eco-friendly lodge here offers a laid-back island escape, with kayaks and snorkelling equipment available for you to discover the vibrant underwater world at your own pace and expense.

Day 15: Return to Lilongwe
>> You'll wake up to the soothing chorus of birdsong on your island retreat. You'll spend a relaxed morning soaking up the beachside serenity or glide across the water on a peaceful kayak trip. You'll take time to snorkel and admire the vibrant array of tropical fish beneath the surface.
Later in the day, you'll board the ferry back to the mainland and reunite with your truck for the journey to Lilongwe. Feeling refreshed and sun-kissed, you’ll settle in for your final night at Woodlands Lilongwe Hotel, staying in a twin-share ensuite room.
