Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park, it lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with South Sudan in the northwest and only 5km from the eastern border of Kenya. The park is known for its outstanding view, unique wildlife, and cultural encounters with the local Karamojong people. It is one of Africa's finest wilderness areas.

Day 01: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

>> Have an early Breakfast and transfer to Kidepo National Park using the Kampala – Gulu Highway, the fastest route to the park. (10-12 hours). Expect a long but scenic drive through the countryside.

You will have a lunch stop in Gulu town enroute to Kidepo. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic drive to the lodge, viewing animals like elephants, buffalos, zebras, and several bird species. You will also be able to view some animals while at the camp.

Day 02: Explore the beauty of Kidepo Valley NP (Game Drives, Panoramic Views, and Cultural Experience)

>> Have an early breakfast and go for an early morning game drive in the Narus Valley, the park's prime area for wildlife viewing. You will see elephants, buffalos, lions, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, among others.

After the game drive, visit the local Karamojong village to explore their unique culture, traditions, and way of life. You will also have a chance to participate in their dances. After that fascinating experience, return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, embark on a game drive to the Kanangorok hot springs in the Northern part of the park. As you drive northwards, you will pass through the Kidepo Valley, characterized by open savannas, seasonal rivers, and wildlife species like buffalo, elephants, antelopes (occasional), and birds like the Ostrich, which is more common in this part of the park. You can also have a view of Mt Morungole at the hot springs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Return to Kampala/Entebbe
