ABOUT 4-Day Botswana Walking Safari

This 3-night traverse takes place exclusively in the Central Tuli Game Reserve of Botswana. An incredible wildlife location famous for its large elephant herds. You’ll explore the lesser-known areas of this park to get a true wilderness experience and a feeling of remoteness not found in many other places. You'll walk along the elephant paths as they meander between the outcrops and dry stream beds that lead to the natural springs and the mighty Limpopo River at the base of the valley.

Day 01: Arrival - Platjan Border Botswana

>> You'll meet early in Johannesburg, then get into our transfer vehicle headed for the Platjan border post in South Africa to start our Botswana adventure. Once you are done with our meet and greet with our Botswana guides, you'll transfer all your luggage into your transfer vehicle from the lodge. Once you're through the border and into Botswana, your adventure starts. You'll ride over the Limpopo River and straight into the Botswana wilderness. A scenic drive takes you straight to your home for the next 3 nights, Koro Island Camp.

Day 02: Central Tuli Wilderness

>> After a warm cup of coffee, you'll head North into the wilderness area to explore this magical place. You’ll pass the salt pans that are loved by elephants as the open areas make way to the rocky outcrops. You’ll stop for a break at one of the amazing water holes before you head back. You'll drive back to the river and meander along the beautiful paths of the Limpopo back to your exclusive Island Camp.

Day 03: Central Tuli Wilderness

>> You’ll wake up on our private island in the Limpopo before you head out to explore the Koro conservancy. The elephant paths and jeep tracks take you between the waterholes and viewpoints to your bush breakfast spot. From here, you'll walk back down to the flowing paths beneath the giant Mashatu trees. After a relaxing afternoon, you’re off for a special sundowner on our last Botswana evening.

Day 04: Depart - Johannesburg

>> We love getting in one more walk before you depart. After a quick coffee, you’re off for a final walk of the Central Tuli Reserve. Then it’s time for your journey back into South Africa as you cross the Platjan border post and head back to Johannesburg.
