>> Your adventure begins with a warm welcome in Kigali. After pick-up, enjoy a scenic drive north to Musanze, nestled at the foothills of the Virunga Mountains. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and freshen up. In the afternoon, visit the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Campus for an insightful experience into gorilla conservation and the legacy of Dian Fossey. Overnight in Musanze.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trek and transfer to Bwindi

>> After an early breakfast, head into the forest for an exciting golden monkey trek in Volcanoes National Park. These rare and playful primates are unique to the Virunga region and are a delight to watch. After the trek, check out and enjoy a scenic cross-border drive into Uganda. Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and settle in for the night.

Day 3: Trek Gorillas and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

>> Today is the highlight of your journey—gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing, then venture into the forest for a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with a mountain gorilla family. After the trek, enjoy lunch and begin your transfer to the serene Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive in time to unwind with a peaceful sundowner by the lake. Overnight at a lakeside lodge.
