Day 01: Zanzibar – Fly to Kigoma (Western Tanzania)

>> Morning flight from Zanzibar to Kigoma via Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your lodge overlooking Lake Tanganyika.
In the afternoon, visit Ujiji village, the site of the historic meeting between explorers Stanley and Livingstone. Enjoy a peaceful evening watching the sunset over the lake.

Day 02: Kigoma – Boat Transfer to Gombe Stream National Park

>> After breakfast, take a two-hour boat ride to Gombe Stream National Park. Upon arrival,
check in to your lodge on the lakeshore.
In the afternoon, take a guided forest walk where you might see red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, and a variety of tropical birds.
Evening at leisure on the beach, with views of the distant Congo hills.

Day 03: Chimpanzee Trekking in Gombe Stream NP

>> After breakfast, begin your chimpanzee trekking with a park ranger. The trek may last between 2 and 5 hours depending on the location of the chimp troop.
Spend up to one hour observing their natural behaviors — grooming, feeding, and communicating in the forest canopy.
Later, visit Kakombe Waterfall and enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to the lodge for an evening swim or relaxation.
