Day 01: Arrival in Blantyre – Gateway to the Warm Heart

>> Upon your arrival at Chileka International Airport (BLZ) in Blantyre, a friendly Baseline Travel representative will warmly welcome you. They'll ensure a smooth transfer to your comfortable accommodation, Leslie Lodge, where you can unwind and prepare for the adventures ahead. The rest of the day is at leisure, perhaps exploring the lodge's amenities or simply relaxing after your journey.

Day 02 & 03: Safari Serenity at Liwonde National Park

>> After a delicious breakfast, you'll journey to the magnificent Liwonde National Park, a true success story in Malawian conservation. Your home for the next two nights will be Mvuu Camp, perfectly situated on the banks of the Shire River. Get ready for immersive safari experiences.

Day 04: Lakeside Bliss at Club Makokola

>> This morning, after a final breakfast at Mvuu Camp, you'll journey east to the breathtaking shores of Lake Malawi. You'll enjoy a comfortable 3-hour scenic drive with your Baseline Travel guide, who will share insights into the local culture and landscapes along the way. Your destination is the beautiful Club Makokola, your lakeside retreat for the day. You'll spend your afternoon unwinding on the soft sands, swimming in the clear waters, or perhaps indulging in some optional water sports like snorkeling or kayaking. You'll witness a spectacular Malawian sunset over the "Lake of Stars.

Day 05: Transition to Zambia – Gateway to South Luangwa

>> After a leisurely breakfast overlooking Lake Malawi, you'll bid farewell to the Warm Heart. Your Baseline Travel guide will transfer you to Lilongwe International Airport (LLW) for your connection to Mfuwe International Airport (MFU) in Zambia (please note: this may involve a connection, typically via Lusaka). Upon arrival at Mfuwe, our Baseline Travel representative in South Luangwa will welcome you and take you to the lodge, and will also transfer you to your safari, nestled on the edge of the South Luangwa National Park. You'll settle in and prepare for your first taste of Zambia's legendary wilderness.
